The wind blows, I dance.

The rain falls, I drink.

The sun shines, I grow.

Too little wind, I stagnate.

Too little rain, I thirst.

Too little sun, I shrink.

Too much; I break, I drown, I wilt.

Best to cultivate strong, deep roots

(Nay, most beloved one, go even deeper still)

to fortress myself against gusty storms,

to send out rootlets in search of minerals,

to source water from cavernous reserves,

to elegantly govern these acquisitions.

After all, I am the ruler of this sovereign state,

having inherited this position by right of my birth.
